Hair Flower

I saw these flowers on Heather Bailey’s blog yesterday.  I have made similar flowers before but not with the cute felt toppers.  Last night I made one.  I added a vintage button from my Grandmother’s button drawer.  I am in love with these!  I made this one into a barrette but imagine a brooch!  Oh the cuteness!  They are so easy!  You don’t need a sewing machine either.  I use a wool felt blend.  I love the feel and wear of it.  Heather sells it in her shop at a pretty reasonable price.  Joann Fabrics also carries it.  I wish I was still in St. Louis where there is a fabric shop called Jackman’s that has the BEST selection of wool felt!  So, if you have a half an hour to spare and need an accessory, these are your project 🙂

*My dear friend Eliza sent me some lovely fabrics from London and I got them yesterday.  I used some for the big flower, isn’t it so pretty?  Thanks Eliza! 🙂
