I finally finished this doll quilt a few nights ago. It is for a swap I am participating in. I had a hard time figuring out what pattern to do. I started with something and ended up with something totally different. I just kinda played around with my squares and these diagonal lines happened and I liked it. My recipient likes browns and greens, hope she likes it. It measures a bit bigger than I had anticipated at the beginning but that is what happens when plans go out the window 🙂 It measures about 24″x27″. I pieced the backing as I find myself doing with every quilt these days. I love how it is a little surprise on the back and also allows me a fun way to incorporate my label. I used Kona Solids in cream and the batting is Warm And Natural. The binding is this fabulous find from Joann fabrics of all places. It is the same that I used to back the coin quilt a few posts back. I quilted in vertical lines 1″ apart.
Other things I am working on are a few custom orders, gathering fabrics for Sweet Girl’s and Little Man’s quilts and gathering the last bits of Flea Market Fancy that I don’t have for the memorial quilt.
Oh, I need ideas for baby booties for my little guy. If you have any cute ideas or know of some patterns, shoot them my way! 🙂
